Sheet metal packing is the most widely used type of structured packings.  Corrugated sheet metal structured packings are the normal column upgrade over fractionation trays in tower debottlenecking projects, where liquid loads and fouling are not too high.

ACS manufactures many styles of this packing in various crimp heights and angles primarily in 304L SS and 316L SS metal alloy for quick replacement from stock materials or special order exotic alloys such as Hastelloy C276 for upgrade process applications. 

Sheet metal column packings are typically found in low to medium fouling services common in the refinery or specialty petrochemical plant processes.
