ACS / Montz Expanded Metal Packing

The ACS/Montz expanded metal packing (BSH) is one type of packing which combines the essential features and characteristics of metal sheet and wire mesh packing. A remarkable characteristic of the BSH-packing is the special surface structure. It consists of rhombic perforation with alternating burred-up borders. This structure ensures an excellent and uniform wetting under lowest and high liquid loads. Turbulences caused by the burred-up rims of the orifice ensure a permanent mixing of the liquid film on the packing surface.

ACS is currently developing high speed tooling to manufacture the large grid packing beds commonly found inside refinery main fractionation columns.  Currently, we are only producing one common style in limited bed volumes, but will continue to increase our product offering.

ACS Montz BSH

High capacity expanded sheet metal structured packing with liquid vapor holes is offered by special order in primarily 304SS and 316L SS metal alloys for upgrade process applications.  This expanded metal column packing combines the properties of the woven wire mesh packing with the sheet metal packing and is typically found in moderately clean services common in the gas processing, fine chemical, wastewater stripping columns, or specialty petrochemical plant processes

ACS Grid-Pak Type II

High thermal transfer, high liquid capacity expanded sheet metal grid packing offered primarily in 410 SS and 304L SS metal alloys for replacement in kind process applications.  This expanded metal grid column packing is typically found in refinery crude columns, coking units, and slop wax column zones where low fouling packing with superior mechanical, thermal, and process capabilities are required.
