ACS Knitted Wire Packing

Extremely high efficiency knitted wire mesh packing is an original industry standard.  Today, ACS manufactures two styles of replacement packing primarily in 316L SS metal alloy for quick replacement made from stock materials or special order alloys such as Hastelloy C276 for upgrade process applications. The two Styles are S -100 and S-200. The S-100 is slightly more efficient than the S-200, having 12 each 0.0045 inch diameter wires per strand rather than 8 wires per stand. The density of the S-100 is 27.5 pounds per cubic foot and the density of the S200 is 20.1 pounds per cubic foot. This knitted wire column packing is typically found in smaller column diameters less than 10 feet (3 meters) and in clean / low fouling services common in the pharmaceutical, research laboratory, or specialty petrochemical plant processes.
