Raschig Rings

Raschig rings, first generation random packing, are normally made from metals like carbon steel or very high alloys such as Monel 400 or Hastelloy C276. Metal Rashig Rings are used in specific applications demanding good corrosion and thermal transfer. They are generally thicker than other random packing types and offer high durability and lower efficiency than other random packing types. This durable design has high crushing strength and long life utilized frequently within the refinery and gas processing industries.

They are available in variable sizes such as (mm): 25,38, and 50. see pic attached
Raschig rings made from special Carbon or Graphite are used in specific applications demanding good corrosion and thermal shock resistance. They are resistant to most acids, alkalis and solvents at temperatures as high as 150 dec. C and also display good erosion and thermal shock resistance. At the same time they have high crushing strength, thus have a long life. They are common in oxidizer towers, alkyation units, and other demanding process services within the refinery industry.
They are available in variable sizes such as (mm): 19, 25, 38, and 50.
