Random Packing

ACS can provide the industry's three most common types of random packings: 

  • 1st Generation Raschig Rings
  • 2nd Generation Pall Rings
  • 3rd Generation Saddle Rings

Random Packings are very common in the refiinery, gas processing, chemical, and environmental process industries.  Random packings offer our customers improved column performance that is easily shipped, lifted, and installed from our cubic meter dump sacks (approximately 35 cubic feet).  For smaller towers, we offer our easy handling 2 cubic feet boxes of random packing.

Raschig Rings

Raschig RingsRaschig rings, first generation random packing, are normally made from metals like carbon steel as shown here, or from non-metallic carbon black.  These rings are generally thicker than other random packing types and offer high corrosion duarbility.

A-PAK Rings

Pall RingsA-PAK Rings, second generation, offer improved efficiency and high durability random packings.  ACS stocks 304ss and 316Lss product in most sizes and in large quantities.  ACS can also offer this product in specialty alloys by request.  A-PAK Rings are the refinery and gas processing industry's most common random packing type. 

Saddle Rings

Saddle RingsSaddle Rings, third generation, offer high efficiency and low pressure drop.  ACS stocks 304ss and 316Lss product in most sizes.  These high performance random packings are the chemcial industry's most common random packing type.
