Interceptor-Pak™ Coalescers

ACS has a complete range of Interceptor-Pak™ coalescing units for high purity liquid liquid separation performance.

ACS commonly supplies four styles of  011 wire filament types, five pound, seven pound, nine pound, and twelve pound densities.  These are readily available in 304, 316, Inconel 600, Hastelloy C276, Monel 400 and Nickel 200 and other alloys by special request.  They are also available in Polypropylene, Kynar®, and Teflon® filament materials.

To increase droplet coalescing capture via greater surface area, ACS also supplies two styles of 0.006 wire filaments in both seven pound and twelve pound densities.  These are available in the metals listed above.

In addition, ACS supplies super high surface area wire Co-Knit materials with various fibers for high efficiency small droplet collection.  Co-Knits are available in Teflon®, Fiber glass, Polyester, Nylon and Polypropylene co-knitted to base metal mesh solutions listed above.

ACS welcomes design inquiries to optimize coalescer performance.  We will advise you of the best type unit for your application and will calculate the efficiency.  By special request, ACS will conduct liquid separation testing and verify the element performance with supporting third party lab test results.

ACS offers rental coalescer test equipment to allow our customers to conduct small scale plant based tests when exact liquid properties are not certain or the properties are highly proprietary.

In order to obtain the calculated efficiency, ACS Engineers will advise proper location of the Interceptor-Pak™ coalescing filter in your process vessel.  ACS Engineers will take extra precautions to avoid fouling, provide flow control baffles and inlet diffusers designs as recommended for your application.

Wire Mesh

Fine wire mesh for primary liquid coalescingFine wire mesh offers good surface area for first stage droplet capture and primary liquid coalescing.

Mesh with Co-knitted Fiber

Mesh with co-knitterd fiberWire mesh with co-knitted fiberglass or Teflon® fiber offers high surface area for droplet capture and increased purity of liquid separation.
