Scalloped Edge Miniature Valve - SEMV™ Tray

ACS Scalloped Edge Miniature Valve (SEMV™ tray)  divides the gas streams into many small bubbles with less energy and more even mixing.

The scallops greatly increase the mixing where gas is in contact with the tray deck liquid. The SEMV™ trays provides the same volume as a standard valve, but with a lower rise velocity, which further increases gas contact with the liquid. These innovative features improve gas-liquid contact efficiency, lower pressure drop, and reduce liquid jet flooding.

SEMV™ trays often offer 10-15% higher efficiency than other tray designs.  Increased efficiency can reduce the tower liquid reflux rate, resulting in lower utility consumption for the same purity.
