Energy Exploration & Production

Liquid and gas three phase heater-treaters as seen in the background above and offshore production platforms use most of our ACS products. Inside these common two and three phase separators ACS provides the vital process internals for separating oil from produced water by coalescing, and for removing free liquid with mist eliminators from the natural gas vapor streams, all coming from wells.
Both onshore and offshore natural gas wells utilize vane, mesh-vane, and conventional meshpad units throughout the production processes. Operations include the removal of liquids from expander inlet and outlets, the removal of liquids from compressor inlets and interstage discharge vapor streams.
In addition mist eliminators are essential to the operation of glycol dehydrators and Amine desulphurization units normally located at larger well production facilities. ACS has designed special high efficiency co-knitted mesh products to drastically reduce the loss of glycol and amines in these operations, potentially saving the energy companies hundreds of thousands of dollars per year in solvent losses. Bubble cap trays or structured packing, liquid distributors, bed supports, and the other related internals are commonly supplied by ACS for these contactors.
High volume operations in natural gas production also benefit from the use of ACS mesh-vane assemblies which provide high efficiency and high capacity in a minimum of space and process vessel diameter. Mesh-vane units provide the lowest cost capital expenditure, with the lowest liquid carryover rate of any type scrubber internal available today.
