ACS Industries, Inc. was founded in 1939 by Peter Botvin, Sr. as American Copper Sponge (ACS) in Woonsocket, Rhode Island USA. Peter's son, George Botvin was President of ACS from 1950 until 2005 and was an extremely creative entrepreneur. George was responsible for greatly diversifying, vertically integrating, and significantly growing the company into today’s large global manufacturing leader.
Today, ACS Industries, Inc. employs over 2000 employees and operates locations in USA, Mexico, Canada, and China. Steven Buckler, George Botvin's nephew, is President and leads the corporate headquarters, still located in Rhode Island. The family remains dedicated to continued growth and product innovation, investing heavily in R&D and plant manufacturing facilities and equipment.
George Botvin's son, Peter, leads ACS Industries, LP, Separations and Mass-Transfer Products Division based in Houston, Texas. Since 1950, ACS Industries, LP has specialized in the design and manufacture of refinery, petrochemical, gas processing, and OEM process internals. Starting from manufacturing the most basic wire mesh mist eliminators, today ACS provides a full range of process column, tower, and vessel internals. The Houston, Texas manufacturing location produces custom finsihed mist eliminators, coalescer elements, fractionation trays, column packing (structured, random, and grid types), tray hardware, element housings, liquid distributors, packing bed supports and limiters, and many other specialty process and column internals.
ACS Industries, LP is ready to respond to your needs day or night. We frequently manufacture your custom internals, including replacement trays and packing, in just days, not weeks. Our quick response and plant outage support is a major assistance to our industrial plant customers who often discover their exact product needs during time critical process upsets or during unit turnaround outages. With a quick phone call, ACS will evaluate your process equipment requirements and advise the best action plan to meet your time schedule.
